Wha a lovely end to the week!
Thank you for supporting our Language Celebration Day, the children looked fantastic in their red, yellow and blue outfits! Children have taken part in a range of activities, including a Colombian dance based on 'Mi Encanto' from the Disney film, Encanto, Spanish Singing and some Colombian inspired artwork. It's amazing how the children embraced the tricky lyrics of the song and got on board with it! I’m sure the children would love to share their learning at home, click on the link to hear the song https://youtu.be/L74W7Ml9Yww?si=sIRhrLA-01F-UogW Special mention to Ms Berriman and Ms Warden who arranged today’s events and our amazing kitchen team who cooked up some Columbian dishes, Arroz con Pollo and Arroz con Quorn, served with arepas. The crepes were definitely a highlight of today’s lunch too!
Many thanks to those families that attended our Taylor Fest! The event was a huge success and has helped raise an amazing amount of money for our new Forst School structure. Our Swifties loved the event, which was filled with glitter, sequins, cowboy hats and much more! Our Taylor Swift Tribute act was phenomenal, she has made other local appearances and is due to perform in Bolton in August. If you’re a Swiftie, checkout out their page Swift & Styles - The Tribute Show Special mention to our Flowery Friends team who organised the event, they are currently planning our events for the autumn term and are in desperate need of more volunteers. Please come along to their AGM which takes place on Wednesday 2nd July at 3 30 pm to see how you can help the team achieve even more!
During the summer term, we have a number of events which parents are invited too. Please check the newsletter, MCAS app and website regularly to ensure you don’t miss out. Monday 14th July our annual sports events will take place. All families are invited to share in these events. Within EYFS/KS1 the event will focus on the skills we have been learning in KS1, whilst KS2 events will run as a competitive event. There is no need to books for these events.
As you are aware, our after-school club provision ends today to enable staff to support our residentials and begin to plan for the new school year. We are currently looking for outside providers who may be able to support our offer by offering taster sessions. We know how much some of our children love their clubs outside of school and would like to ensure more children are able to access these provisions.
Finally, I would like to congratulate our cheerleaders who participated in the National School’s Cheerleading competition last weekend. Our Flowery Flames team secured first place in both their categories, Urban Cheer and KS2 Pom! Special mention to our phenomenal coach, Ms Lawton who has now helped the school retain our title for an incredible 3 years! We are extremely proud of their achievements and know how much they have inspired others within school.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Uniform
As we prepare for the new school year, please can we remind all parents of expectations regarding uniform All children are required to adhere to our uniform policy, which includes school shoes. We have noticed an increase in children wearing expensive items to school, these are not permitted. Please can we also remind parents that hoodies should only be worn on PE days, as this forms part of our PE kit, not our school uniform. Details of our uniform can be found on our website: School Uniform | Flowery Field Primary School
Wrap around Provision
Due to the number of families requiring wrap around provision, we are looking at extending our provision further in September. Please speak to the office if you require places with either before or after school for the new school year. We are offering families, a complimentary trial session during the summer term. Please book this through the office.
