Oracy underpins our broad and balanced curriculum and enables all children to succeed. We aim to develop confident communicators who can express ideas clearly, listen attentively and engage thoughtfully with others.

Through high expectations and purposeful talk across the curriculum, children build strong communication skills, transferable learning behaviours and secure knowledge. Our oracy approach reflects our STARS values, encouraging striving, teamwork, ambition and resilience through discussion, collaboration and debate.

By valuing every voice and promoting respectful dialogue, children learn to share opinions, consider different viewpoints and contribute positively to their community. Through our commitment to oracy, we prepare children to become confident, articulate and responsible lifelong learners.
