FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
23.05.25
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your support with our Y6 Mini Enterprise event. This allowed our Y6 pupils the chance to plan their own business from start to finish, through the application of our school values of striving, teamwork, ambition and resilience. Children across school had lots of fun, resulting in some very wet teachers!
This week we have completed our science learning on living things. Throughout the topic the children have loved exploring our school grounds, our younger pupils are now able to identify many plants within our school grounds, whilst our Y2 pupils have started thinking about how they can take care of our environment. We look forward to communicating our learning in our final half term.
We have lots of fun activities planned for the summer term, including our annual sports week and a whole school picnic to celebrate Eid Ul Adha. Our younger pupils also have an Early Bug Ball planned whilst our Y4 and 5 pupils will be going on their first residential! Our Y6 pupils will be introducing pupils to the works of Shakespeare before showcasing their talent at the Lowry in July. This is an amazing opportunity for our young people and will create lasting memories.
Following the half term break, we will be focusing on preparing children for their next stage of education. On Wednesday, we held our first welcome evening for those families joining us in September 25, it was lovely to see so many families and look forward to supporting your child on their Flowery journey. Other year groups will also have the opportunity to visit their new classrooms and spend time with their new teacher. If anyone would like to arrange a meeting prior to September please speak to a member of our office team.
Finally, we would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you an enjoyable break with your family and friends.
Kind regards
Mrs Silk
Help Needed!
We are looking for parents who would be willing to come in and speak to our children about the important jobs you do in and around our community. Please feel free to come and speak with myself or Mr Smith if this is something you feel you can help with.
Uniform
As we prepare for the new school year, please can we remind all parents of expectations regarding uniform All children are required to adhere to our uniform policy, which includes school shoes. We have noticed an increase in children wearing expensive items to school, these are not permitted. Please can we also remind parents that hoodies should only be worn on PE days, as this forms part of our PE kit, not our school uniform. Details of our uniform can be found on our website: School Uniform | Flowery Field Primary School
Wrap around Provision
Due to the number of families requiring wrap around provision, we are looking at extending our provision further in September. Please speak to the office if you require places with either before or after school for the new school year. We are offering families, a complimentary trial session during the summer term. Please book this through the office.
