FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your children attend regularly and achieve their full potential.
This week our Y6 pupils have completed their SATs. We are extremely proud of the effort they have put in and the level of resilience they have shown when tackling tricky questions. Special mention to our staff, who ensured our children were not phased by these assessments and our Flowery Fields team who arranged a special treat for our Y6 pupils. Following the half term break, our Y4 pupils will be tackling the Multiplication check, whilst our Y1 children will be completing their phonic screening.
On Wednesday 21st March, we will be taking part in National Numeracy Day which has an emphasis on everyday maths. It aims to help both children and adults feel positive about numbers, build confidence and brighter futures. The theme is 'The Money Edition' which fits well with us as Year 6 have their mini enterprise projects that day. Our Y6 children have planned lots of activities for children to participate in and have cooked up a number of tasty treats too. Children in other year groups are invited to bring in a small amount of money to purchase things on the day. Please ensure this is in a named envelope and handed in to your child’s teacher for safe keeping. All money raised will go towards our leavers’ events. We hope everyone will be able to join in. promoting our love of Maths through every-day activities.
Our Flowery Friends team are planning our final events of the term with our annual Fathers’ Day Crafts which take place on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th June and our Taylor Fest! on Wednesday the 18th June. We are current;y vonfirming the date of our AGM which will take place before the end of the school year.
During our final term, we will be supporting our children in finding out more about the world around them. We are looking for parents who would be willing to come in and speak to our children about the important jobs you do in and around our community. Please feel free to come and speak with myself or Mr Smith if this is something you feel you can help with.
Finally, we would like to wish Mr Smith and Mr Ridley good luck in the Manchester Half Marathon which takes place this weekend. They will be doing this to help raise money for Lila's Light. Please can we ask families to consider making a donation towards Lila's Light to enable her legacy to continue to sparkle. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/lilaslightcharity?utm_medium=CR&utm_source=CL
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend

Dinner Money
Please can we remind all families to order meals through the MCAS app, as all dinners must be ordered and paid for in advance. Unfortunately, you will be unable to select your child’s meals if there is an outstanding balance. Please speak to the office if you need support in clearing outstanding balances.
Wrap around Provision
Due to the number of families requiring wrap around provision, we are looking at extending our provision further in September. Please speak to the office if you require places with either before or after school for the new school year. We are offering families, a complimentary trial session during the summer term. Please book this through the office. We are also pleased to announce that we are trialing holiday provision and will be opening on Wednesday 4th June 9-3 at a cost of £15. Wrap around provision may be available depending on demand.
