FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
28.03.25
Firstly, On behalf of our Flowery Friends team. I would like to thank you for your chocolate donations for our Easter events. Alongside our Easter Bingo, we will be holding a raffle to ensure all children have the possibility of winning a chocolate prize. Tickets will be on sale before and after school on Thursday.
On Tuesday we had the pleasure of welcoming visitors from across the Trust. Once again, they have been impressed with our children’s attitudes to learning, collaborative work within the classrooms and our work on Oracy. Our children were keen to share their recent learning with our visitors.
Next week, we will once again be holding our arts week, the children will be participating in a range of events to explore settings around the world. We would recommend sending in an old shirt in a named carrier bag. We look forward to sharing their creations via our Twitter feed and Website.
As you are aware, over the last week we have seen a significant number of children absent from school due to viral gastrointestinal illness. We have continued to liaise with public health and infection control to reduce the spread of illness. Additional measures have been put in place to increase cleaning throughout the school day, reduce the use of shared equipment and separation of classes where possible. As a result of this, after school clubs have now ended until after the Easter break. Please speak to your child about the importance of hand washing and ensure they refrain from school for 48 hours following any signs of gastrointestinal illness. These additional measures will ensure that we break the transmission of the virus and ensure that normal routines can be re-established as soon as possible.
Finally, I would like to wish all our Muslim families, Eid Mubarak! We hope you have a lovely time celebrating with your family and friends and look forward to hearing about your celebrations on our return. On Tuesday 1st April, we will be holding a special themed lunch and participating in a range of events to mark this important time of the year for our Muslim families. We are encouraging all children to wear their party clothes to celebrate with their friends. Following the Easter break, we will be holding our annual Eid Family Celebration The event takes place on Wednesday 23rd April, with tickets online: https://flowery-field-ptfa.pembee.app.
Thank you for your continued support
