FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Week – 7.11.24
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support during our recent Ofsted Inspection. You should be incredibly proud of your children who spoke passionately about our school and took great delight in showing our visitors around school. Special mention to those parents that completed the online survey as this helps us identify what areas are working well and what can be improved. Once we receive our report it will be shared with all parents through our usual communication channels.
Within our wider curriculum our current focus is on history. Our younger children will be exploring what life was like in the past, within their own families and the local community. Whilst in LKS2 we will focus on Early Civilisations in Y3 and Invaders and Settlers in Y4. In Year 5 and 6 our children will be applying their historical knowledge to help them learn important lessons from the past. If anyone has any old photos that they can share of the local area, please get in touch. Did you know that you can check out our current and previous learning on our school website? Over the holidays, we have become aware of an increasing number of children accessing online gaming platforms. We have spoken to children about the importance of keeping themselves safe and ensuring their privacy settings are secured. We would urge all parents to check their child’s devices.
Finally, I would like to thank those parents that attended our Parents’ Evening. It was extremely well attended and demonstrated the importance of working together to help your child achieve their full potential. I hope you had chance to look through your child’s books and reflect on the progress they have made, especially in English and Maths. Please continue to provide opportunities for your children to practise these skills within the home through our E-Collins books, TTRS and Ed Shed.
Wishing you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend
Mrs Claire Silk
IMPORTANT NEWS
Please can we remind parents that our drop off zone is restricted to parents, carers and pupils in receipt of a disability badge at the end of the school day. We ask that no cars are left unattended at any time and that one disabled space is left available for non-mobile children. Following two accidents before half term please can we remind all parents to ensure they are not parked in the vicinity of our pedestrian entrance, especially on the Zig Zags. Likewise, please can we ask parents to ensure their child’s safety bu encouraging them to follow the pedestrian routes rather than cutting across the car park
