FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS

Week – 14.11.24

Many thanks for your support with our acts of kindness. We have been overwhelmed with the generosity shown by our community during both our after-school food sale and collection of non-perishable food.  These donations have been forwarded to Sandwich Angels who will continue to provide much needed support for our community.  Likewise, we would like to thank you for your donations to Children in Need and for your support in raising awareness of this important cause.

Within our assemblies we have focused on anti-bullying week. We have explored different types of bullying and where children can go to seek help within school.  The children have explored what they can do in a range of situations, with a focus on ‘Choose Respect’. Click on the link to find out more: Anti-Bullying Week 2024: Choose Respect

On the run up to Christmas we have lots of lovely events planned within school, please ensure you check the school calendar regularly, As part of our celebrations the Flowery Friends team will be holding a Winter Wonderland family event on Wednesday 4th December.  Tickets must be purchased in advance from: https://flowery-field-ptfa.pembee.app

Finally, I would like to thank you for your continued support.  Following last week’s parents’ evenings, we have seen an increase in children accessing our reading app and TTRS which is making a positive difference in school.

Wishing you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend

Mrs Claire Silk

IMPORTANT NEWS

Please can we remind parents that our drop off zone is restricted to parents, carers and pupils in receipt of a disability badge at the end of the school day.  We ask that no cars are left unattended at any time and that one disabled space is left available for non-mobile children.   Following two accidents before half term please can we remind all parents to ensure they are not parked in the vicinity of our pedestrian entrance, especially on the Zig Zags.  Likewise, please can we ask parents to ensure their child’s safety bu encouraging them to follow the pedestrian routes rather than cutting across the car park

ONLINE SAFETY

Several parents have asked for support regarding screen time.  This is a very subjective area.  We have been forwarded the following link to share with parents:
