FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS

Firstly, I would like to thank those families that attended our sports events! It was great to see so many families in attendance. Special mention to those who participated in our parent race, many have already mentioned that they are in training for next year.
I would also like to thank those members of our community who donated to Once upon a Smile in memory of Lila. I am incredibly proud of those members of staff who tackled Scarfel, England’s highest mountain. The team raised just under £2000. This money will make a huge difference to children who have experienced a bereavement.
We are looking forward to our upcoming events over the next few weeks. Y5 pupils have just started work on their Film Projects, whilst our Y6 pupils are busy polishing their performance of King Leah which will be performed at the Lowry Theatre. Our reception pupils have already showcased their learning during our Early Bug Ball. Other year groups will be inviting parents in to share their learning too. Please check out our key dates below.
Next week, we are looking forward to our Y6 mini enterprise. Our Y6 children have planned their own businesses, sourced products and created a range of enticing products. All children will have the opportunity to visit the Y6 marketplace throughout the school day. If you wish to support this event, please send a small amount of money with your child in a named envelope.
On Monday 22nd July, we will be sending out our end of year reports through the My Child at School App. Please ensure you are able to access the app and update your contact details. Paper copies can be requested from the office. Statutory results will also be available for reception children, year 1 and 2 children who sat the phonic screening check and year 4 multiplication check.
We are pleased to announce that from September we will be running our own before and after school provision (between the hours of 7 30 and 5 30). This provision will support the work of Rainbows in providing much needed support to our community. If you are in need of support, please pick up a form from reception. Places will be allocated on our first come first served basis. Our normal clubs will be running from the 3rd week of September, unfortunately we are unable to run our morning drop in however we will still be providing breakfast from 8 30 for those families requiring support.
Finally, I would like to thank you for your generous donations to Garden House Farm. The farm will be looking after our animals during the summer holiday and they would love to see some of our families. For more information visit, Home – Charity and Community farm (thegardenhousemarple.com) We raised a fantastic £366.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
