FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
12.07.24
Firstly, I would like to thank those families that attended our Flowery Fest! It was great to see so many families enjoying their time together. Our Hook a Duck, Splat the Rat and Bouncy Castles were a welcome addition. Special mention to our amazing team of volunteers who made the event such a success.
We are looking forward to our upcoming events over the next few weeks. Y5 pupils have just started work on their Film Projects, whilst our Y6 pupils are busy polishing their performance of King Leah which will be performed at the Lowry Theatre. Our reception pupils have already showcased their learning during our Early Bug Ball. Other year groups will be inviting parents in to share their learning too. Please check out our key dates below.
Next week, sees the start of our sports week. Children across school have been practising for these events and we look forward to welcoming you to these events. Special mention to Mr Wright, Mr Chat and Ms Lawton for organising these events.
On Monday 22nd July, we will be sending out our end of year reports through the My Child at School App. Please ensure you are able to access the app and update your contact details. Paper copies can be requested from the office.
As we approach the new term, we would also like to remind parents of our expectations regarding uniform and behaviour which can be found on our school website, https://floweryfieldschool.org.uk/. Please can we remind families that all children should wear black school shoes or trainers, with the exception of our pE days. Our website has details of our policies and procedures and a link to our school calendar which details our upcoming events.
Finally, we would like to congratulate our Y6 pupils on their amazing SATs results. Despite, the challenges of the pandemic, our children’s commitment and dedication has been recognised. Once again, our children have performed in line with national data, outperforming in reading, writing and combined areas. We are incredibly proud of all their achievements both within and outside the curriculum and know they will continue to do well as they embark on their next chapter.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
Mrs Silk
