What a great week in school!
This week our Y6 pupils have completed their SATs. We are extremely proud of the effort they have put in and the level of resilience they have shown when tackling tricky questions. Special mention to our staff, who ensured our children were not phased by these assessments and our Flowery Fields team who arranged a special treat for our Y6 pupils. Following the half term break, our Y4 pupils will be tackling the Multiplication check, whilst our Y1 children will be completing their phonic screening.
This week, we say goodbye to Mrs Chalmers, as she leaves us to get ready for the arrival of her new baby. We can’t wait to meet the new member of our Flowery Family. On behalf of the Flowery community I would like to send our best wishes to her family at this time, Miss Murray has been supporting over the last few weeks and will lead the nursery class until the end of the year.
Finally, I would like to thank all those families that have donated resources to support our outdoor play and learning. We are still in urgent need of pots and pans, gardening tools and used scaffolding boards. On Friday 24th May, we will be holding a non uniform day to help us raise funds for this important area of school. If anyone has any links to local businesses, we have created an amazon wishlist in the hope of gaining further support: https://amzn.eu/1ZI9TcU
Wishing you a relaxing and enjoyable weekend
Mrs Silk
