FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Spring Term Week – 19.04.24
What a great start to the summer term!
It has been lovely to have the children back in school, embracing their new learning challenges and enjoying time with their friends.
Our new science learning makes the most of our environment, with many year groups focusing on living things. The children are exploring a range of plants and animals, carrying out experiments and observing changes over time. Check out our current learning on our school website or Twitter feed: Flowery Field Primary School (floweryfieldschool.org.uk)
We would also like to offer a warm welcome to Ms Murray who joins our nursery team in preparation for Mrs Chalmer’s upcoming maternity leave. Many families will recognise Miss Murray as she has taught across our nursery and reception classes and is a great asset to our nursey team.
Next week sees the launch of our summer before and after school clubs, we are extremely grateful to the staff who have volunteered to run this provision, ensuring children have those extra opportunities to experience success. Places are limited and need to booked through the MCAS App. If a child misses 2 consecutive weeks places will be reallocated.
Finally, I would like to thank the Flowery Friends team and parent volunteers for leading our Family Eid Celebrations. Our Starry Nights Event was a great success, with lots of fun activities for all the family. Special mention to all the families who cooked up the delicious treats,
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend
Mrs Silk
IMPORTANT NOTICE – ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Please can we remind all families that school starts at 8 45 and finishes at 3 15. The office should only be used for disabled families and families dropping off or collecting outside of these hours.
Recently, we have seen an increase in children arriving late preventing them from accessing vital learning opportunities. Please ensure your child arrives in plenty of time for an 8 45 prompt start.
IMPORTANT NOTICE – HEALTH AND SAFETY
Due to the limited number of disabled bays, 2 are reserved for children who are non-mobile. It is essential that we ensure these children have access to these spaces due to the dropped curb and the additional equipment they require.
Please can we ask other disabled users to be mindful of this when parking on the school site. Our pastoral team are on hand to provide support with drop off and pick up.
