What a lovely week!
Firstly, I would like to send our best wishes to those families that have been celebrating Passover this week. We would love families to send in any photos of their celebrations so these can be shared in our assemblies.
Many thanks to all those families that have attended our celebration assemblies. This week, we have shared our geography learning from the spring term. Our videos showcased the great work that has taken place, enabling our children to secure their knowledge of the town where they live, our city, our country and the wider world. Our geography team are currently planning a local study that will enable the children to apply this knowledge in the summer term.
As the weather starts to improve, we are keen to further develop our outdoor areas. Mr G has already enhanced our offer by installing a new digging area on the school field, incorporated some scaffolding boards into our construction area and provided a safe space for children to climb trees. We are always on the lookout for outdoor equipment, tyres, scaffolding planks, cable drums and anything else that can spark imagination. We are also currently looking for any keen gardeners who can help us improve our school grounds. Please contact Mr G if you have anything you can offer.
This week we have launched our before and after school provision. Please ensure your child attends promptly and let the office know if your child is unable to attend so the place can be re-allocated. Children attending morning club are offered a complimentary breakfast. Please speak to the pastoral team if you feel your child would benefit from this support.
Finally, can I remind families of the safety on site. Since our return there has been 3 car accidents in our car park. We operate a strict 5mph limit when driving on site and restrict vehicle access at the end of the day to disabled parents and children. Please can we ask that no cars are left unattended at any time, this ensures we keep the traffic moving. We will be having a barrier installed during the half term break to enforce these measures.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs Silk
IMPORTANT NOTICE – ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Please can we remind all families that school starts at 8 45 and finishes at 3 15. The office should only be used for disabled families and families dropping off or collecting outside of these hours.
Recently, we have seen an increase in children arriving late preventing them from accessing vital learning opportunities. Please ensure your child arrives in plenty of time gor an 8 45 prompt start.
IMPORTANT NOTICE – HEALTH AND SAFETY
Due to the limited number of disabled bays, 2 are reserved for children who are non-mobile. It is essential that we ensure these children have access to these spaces due to the dropped curb and the additional equipment they require.
Please can we ask other disabled users to be mindful of this when parking on the school site. Our pastoral team are on hand to provide support with drop off and pick up.
