FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Summer Term – 30.06.23
During our training day today, we have taken time to reflect and appreciate how far the children have come this year. We are incredibly proud of their achievements, both within and outside of the classroom and extremely grateful for your support and encouragement, in helping your child achieve their full potential.
Parent Involvement
Our Flowery Friends team are currently organising our final event for the summer. This s a festival themed fun event which takes place on Wednesday 19th July. This event replaces last year’s summer fayre. We are extremely grateful to the Flowery Friends team who have organised this event, ensuring that there will be lots of fun activities for all! However we are still in desperate need of volunteers. If you are able to help please speak to a member of staff at the drop off point.
We are always looking at ways to strengthen our community and would welcome any ideas you may have. It would be great to share families own cultures and traditions as part of this work. Please email admin@floweryfield.tameside.sch.uk if you would like to get involved.
Eid Ul Adha
Over the year, we have been finding out about different religions, represented within our community. Our younger pupils have been exploring what it means to belong to a faith community, whilst our older pupils have been reflecting on how people express their faith through their actions.
As part of this work we have spoken about Eid Ul Adha, which was celebrated by our Muslim families last week. On Monday 3rd July, we will have a Whole School picnic to mark Eid Ul Adha and a treasure hunt! Children are invited to come in their own clothes to celebrate with their friends.
Transition
All children will receive a letter regarding the transition arrangements on Friday. We will be providing opportunities for the children to meet their class teachers prior to the end of term. We would like to invite our current Y2 parents to join us for a brief transition meeting on Thursday 20th July at 2 30pm. You will have the opportunity to meet the teachers and visit classrooms. All other year groups will have this opportunity in September.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
Mrs Silk
