Spring Term Week – 05.05.23
What a lovely end to the week!
Despite this being a short week in school, the children have embraced the learning activities on offer.
Throughout the school we have completed a range of coronation themed activities, creating meals, outfits, bridges and carriages fit for a King! The children have had the opportunity to communicate their learning with other year groups.
Our celebrations ended with our special Coronation themed lunch, the children loved the street party themed menu and enjoyed celebrating this historic occasion with their friends. Special mention to Mr G, our very own musical maestro who led the celebrations with our Coronation song. Please check it out on our Facebook page.
Next week marks the start of our assessment period in school. These assessments only capture a small snapshot of your child’s learning, they do not reflect their level of determination, excellent learning attitudes and wider achievements. We are extremely proud of all our children and know they will continue to experience success, as they move through school and transition to high school. We would encourage you to reflect on the progress your child has made and remind them of how amazing they truly are.
Finally, I would like to thank the Flowery Friends team who have provided a special gift for each child to mark the Coronation.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable bank holiday weekend
Mrs Silk
IMPORTANT NOTICE – HEALTH AND SAFETY
Due to the limited number of disabled bays, 2 are reserved for children who are non-mobile. It is essential that we ensure these children have access to these spaces due to the dropped curb and the additional equipment they require.
Please can we ask other disabled users to be mindful of this when parking on the school site. Our pastoral team are on hand to provide support with drop off and pick up.
Help needed – Missing Toy
One of our families lost a puppy dog toy in Hyde park on the 3rd May. It was in a bunny backpack left next to a bench. We are keen to help reunite it with it’s owner. Please check out the photo attached to this week’s briefing. Any help would be greatly received.
