FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Spring Term Week – 31.03.23
What a lovely end to the term!
This morning our Flowery Field choir entertained children in years 2, 3 and 4. Over the last few weeks the choir have been busy learning new songs, demonstrating our core values of ambition, teamwork and resilience. These values are evident throughout all areas of school and will be celebrated as part of our celebration assemblies at the start of the summer term.
We are pleased to announce that we have selected our new pupil leaders. Our health and safety team have already ensured that Mr Clark has lots of jobs to keep him busy over the Easter holidays. Whilst some of our school council have been busy designing posters for our upcoming Eid celebrations. Well done to all those that applied for our new roles.
Many thanks to all those parents that attended our Flowery Friends AGM. We are extremely grateful to the committee who put on a range of events for our children, providing affordable opportunities for our families to enjoy. All the money raised goes into future events, such as our upcoming Eid celebration. The team have kindly agreed to fund next year’s school pantomime and provide a special gift for each child to commemorate the King’s coronation. If you are able to help out at future events or would like to get involved more in our community please email admin@floweryfield.tameside.sch.uk.
Our assemblies this week have focused on Ramadan which started last week. The children have been keen to share how Muslims celebrate Ramadan through prayer, charity and fasting. We have looked at the importance of kindness and discussed good deeds we can carry out during Ramadan. Please feel free to share these good deeds on our Facebook pages over the Easter holidays, we will be sharing these after the holidays, as we build up towards Eid. As in previous years, all children will be celebrating Eid as a reward for their acts of kindness.
Finally, our sport team have asked me to thank you for all your generous donations towards our Easter raffle. We raised over £300 which will help support our cheerleading team. Other events are planned over the next few weeks to help support this event.
I would like to wish you all a lovely break with your families and look forward to seeing you on Monday 17th April.
Kind regards
Mrs Silk
