FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS

01.05.26

Over the last few weeks, children across school have engaged in arts week. It has been wonderful to see the creativity, enthusiasm and enjoyment from all our pupils. Pupils have explored a range of different artists and techniques, building on their existing skills to create their own masterpieces. Arts Week has been a brilliant reminder of how the arts support wellbeing, creativity and confidence, while helping children develop skills that reach far beyond the classroom.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our Flowery Friends team who have held a range of events over the last 18 months to help raise money for our Forest School Structure. We are pleased to announce that the team have confirmed that they are now able to fund this project due to the generous donations from our community. We know that this will benefit our pupils for many years to come. As we look ahead, the Flowery Friends team are keen to continue their fantastic work and are now exploring ways to enhance our school further. To help make these plans a reality, we would love to welcome new volunteers to the team. If you are able to offer any time or support, even occasionally, please get in touch with the school – we would be very grateful for your help.

Please could we ask parents to be extremely careful when accessing the school site. Unfortunately, several cars have been accessing the pedestrian entrance which poses a significant risk to our little people. To ensure the safety of all, this entrance will now be closed to all vehicles and the site will need to be accessed through the Flowery Centre. This includes parents dropping and collecting for Rainbows. Over the next few weeks we have planned works taking place to improve our pedestrian access from Main Street. Please can we access families, wherever possible, to use alternative access points.

Following the success of our previous appeal, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding a day for Uganda on Thursday 21st May 2026, in conjunction with schools across our Trust. Throughout the day children will be finding out more about Uganda, taking part in an African dance and learning a special song to share with our friends overseas. Children are encouraged to wear black, yellow, red and white linking to the flag of Uganda, and bring a donation of £1 towards the fundraising effort.

Finally, we would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you and your family a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Mrs Silk
