Firstly, we would like to congratulate our Y6 pupils on their amazing SATs results. Our achievement in reading writing and maths is above national data, with an amazing 73% achieving expected levels in reading, writing and Maths. Likewise, our Y4 have achieved extremely well in their multiplication check, performing well above both the Trust and National data. We are incredibly proud of all their achievements both within and outside the curriculum and know they will continue to do well as they embark on their next chapter.
Over the last few weeks, we have also reflected on the progress and attainment of other children within school. Our children continue to make progress in all key areas, alongside their achievements in our wider curriculum. Following the introduction of Smart School Council and our whole school focus on oracy we have seen an increase in children articulating their learning. There are now frequent opportunities for children to discuss and debate issues, empowering children to make a difference, especially during unstructured times. We look forward to sharing these achievements through our end of year reports.
On Monday 21st July, we will be sending out our end of year reports through the My Child at School App. Please ensure you are able to access the app and update your contact details. Paper copies can be requested from the office.
As may of you are aware, our Instagram page is now up and running. This will serve as our main platform for sharing updates, celebrations, and snapshots of school life from September. This will replace our previous Twitter feed. Follow us on Instagram to stay connected with all the wonderful things happening at school — from classroom highlights to special events and everything in between! @floweryfieldprimary.
Finally, we would like to remind parents of our sports events which take place next week. Children across school have been practising for these events and we look forward to welcoming you to these events. Special mention to Mr Wright and Ms Lawton for organising these events.

Traffic on Site
Over the recent weeks we have seen an increase in traffic accessing our site which poses an increased risk to our children. Please can we remind all families that no cars should be left unattended and that the Flowery Centre and School car park should not be used. If you are using the drop off, please adhere to the strict 5mph speed limit and ensure that children are only dropped off in the designated drop off zone.
Uniform
As we prepare for the new school year, please can we remind all parents of expectations regarding uniform All children are required to adhere to our uniform policy, which includes school shoes. We have noticed an increase in children wearing expensive items to school, these are not permitted. Please can we also remind parents that hoodies should only be worn on PE days, as this forms part of our PE kit, not our school uniform. Wrap around Provision
Due to the number of families requiring wrap around provision, we are looking at extending our provision further in September. Please speak to the office if you require places with either before or after school for the new school year. We are offering families, a complimentary trial session during the summer term. Please book this through the office.
