FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Week – 20.09.24
Another great week in school!
Firstly, I would like to thank those families who supported our after-school sale in aid of the flooding in Bangladesh. Many of our children and their wider families have been affected by the recent flooding. Special mention to those families that cooked up tasty treats to help raise money for those in need.
Within our learning, we have had a focus on Maths. We have been extremely impressed with the children’s learning behaviours and the calm, purposeful learning taking place across school. We looked at the teaching of Maths across school, ensuring focusing on consistency throughout school. Our children spoke confidently about the way Maths is taught and were keen to share their learning. It was great to see our younger people verbalising their learning through their work on pattern and size, whilst our older pupils tackled more formal written methods. We are incredibly proud of them all! Check out our photos on Facebook and Twitter.
This week our Flowery Fun team held their first special event, a Teddy Bears Picnic. The children loved designing their own decorations, playing games and bringing their cuddly toys to share in the fun! Next week, is the final week to try out our new wraparound care. Following this all children will need to be registered, and places booked two weeks in advance. Any remaining places will only be able to be booked through the school office.
The Flowery centre have asked us to remind families that this car park should not be used during morning drop off or pick up, There has been an increase in congestion around this area which poses a significant safety concern for our pupils and users of the centre. Please can we also urge families entering school through the centre to use the designated pedestrian walkways. There have been a few near mises with children cutting across the busy car park.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that we will be having a special Brunch with Froggy event on Thursday. All children in reception, Y1 and 2 will be offered a free all-day breakfast to try. Children in KS2 who normally have sandwiches are also invited to join us for an all-day breakfast. This will need to be ordered in the app by Monday at a accost of £2.25. Alternatives will be available on the day,
Wishing you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend
