Autumn Term
Welcome back!
We are really looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday. School will continue to start at 8 45 and finish at 3 15. As communicated before the summer, we will no longer be offering our morning sports provision but will be providing a breakfast drop in from 8 30 from Monday 9th September. Children requiring breakfast should come in through the main hall doors before making their way to classrooms. All other children should remain on the playground until 8 45. Staff will be outside from 8 30 to answer any questions you may have.
We will be putting our after-school provision together over the next week. We are pleased to announce that we have some outside providers who will also be offering some sessions for a small charge. In addition to our extra curriculum provision, we also offer a chargeable provision for families needing wraparound support outside of our regular hours. This will run from 7 30 in the morning until 5 30pm. Currently, we are able to offer one off sessions to those families who only require occasional support, however all places must be booked in advance through the school office.
We know that many families will have invested in new uniform, please can we remind all families to ensure all uniform is labelled with names and classes. We would like to remind families that all children are expected to wear school shoes. Details of our uniform policy can be found here: https://floweryfieldschool.org.uk/parents/school-uniform.
On Tuesday, you will receive a letter providing key information for your child. This will include information on PE days, homework etc. Please can we remind parents that school PE kit is an essential part of our uniform. Our PE and dance kits consists of a royal blue T-shirt and black or blue shorts. We are happy for children to purchase a school fleece or Flowery Field hoody to wear over their PE kit.
This year, we will continue to communicate key messages through our website and the MCAS app. Please ensure you are able to access the app and speak to the office if you have any issues. New pupils will receive a letter providing further details on how to access the app. If you are unable to open the app or have changed your contact details please email our admin team.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable end to the summer break.
Kind regards
Mrs Silk
Can you help?
Due to the number of children with allergies we ask that all packed lunches remain nut free. Snacks are provided to children within nursery – Y2. Children in Y3-6 are able to bring a small piece of fruit in.
We know many families choose to send treats in for birthdays, unfortunately several children have been unable to enjoy these due to their dietary requirements. Whilst we will continue to share these, other ways to celebrate could involve donating a book to school with your child’s name in or planting something in the school grounds.
