FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
15.03.24
Firstly, thank you for your support with our Easter events. We are extremely grateful for your generous donations.
As we come to the end of our half term our children are completing their geography learning. Our geography team have visited learning across school and commented on the level of enthusiasm and engagement observed in lessons. Children were found to have good understanding of the geographical concepts taught. This week our youngest children have had the opportunity to visit the local area as part of their geography learning. It was great to see so many families joining us and embracing our learning. Likewise, we have enjoyed having lots of visitors as part of our secret reader events. Our younger children have loved these special visits with many children developing their spoken language as a result. It is lovely to see so many adults in school. If you can volunteer, for an hour or two a week, please get in touch with school.
We are really looking forward to speaking with you about your child’s learning during our spring parents’ evening. During the meeting the teachers will be sharing your child’s progress and looking at how you can support them in their next steps of learning. We are extremely proud of their achievements this term. As these meetings take place over the telephone, please ensure your details are up to date in the MCAS app. Please contact admin@floweryfield.tameside.sch.uk if you require support in accessing the app or booking an appointment.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend
Mrs Silk
Punctuality and Absence
School starts at 8 45 and closes at 3 15. Please can we ask families to ensure children arrive on time as lateness disrupts learning and results in children missing valuable learning opportunities.
Likewise, if your child is going to be absent from school, please ring and provide a reason for their absence prior to the start of the school day. Parents are able to leave a message on our automated system.
Flowery Friends
Our next event is our Eid Celebration which takes place on Wednesday 17th April. Following the success of last year’s event, we have expanded capacity to ensure more families can get involved. Our team has lots of things planned, including new inflatables, craft events, party games and of course lots of delicious food! This event sold out last year so we would recommend purchasing tickets early.
