FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
5.01.24
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for the support and kindness you have demonstrated since our return from the Christmas break. We understand this is a difficult time for our whole school community and send our love to Lila’s family and friends. We are proud of the way our children have responded and the resilience shown by our little people. We are aware that other families have also experienced losses during the holidays and would ask anyone in need of support to reach out to myself or a member of the pastoral team.
This term we will be focusing on science, this week we have already had a trip under the sea and a visit to the farm! Our farm visits also made a surprise visit to see us during playtime. Special mention to Mrs Marsden, Mrs Mercer, our farm team and my amazing team of volunteers who look after the animals. If any Y3,4,5 or 6 pupils want to get involved we have a farm club that meets every Saturday 9 30-10 30.
Over the next few weeks, we have lots to look forward to. Our Y6 pupils will be embarking on their residential to Robinwood, all children will have a visit to the Panto, our special themed lunch and our termly celebration assemblies.
As we begin the school term, we would like to encourage all families to ensure they have access to our school app. This contains important information regarding important dates and reminders. Our spring menu has now been launched in the MCAS app. Please ensure your accounts are up to date and complete your orders for the spring term. If you feel you may be entitled to FSM please check out the link below: https://www.tameside.gov.uk/schoolmeals
We will relaunch our before and after school provision on Monday 15th January. On Monday 8th January at 3 15pm, we will be opening booking. All places will need to be booked through the app. Please note that we are unable to offer morning provision if you have not been successful in gaining a place. Please note we also offer before and after school tuition for targeted pupils, places are strictly limited and change on a termly basis. If your child receives an invite we would ask you to confirm as soon as possible as places, so we are able to reallocate this valuable support. Children attending morning clubs can access a free breakfast, provided by Greggs. We are extremely grateful to our parent volunteers who support our breakfast club.
On behalf of the school, I would like to thank you once again for your kindness and support at this time.
Mrs Silk
