Another great week in school!
Firstly, I would like to thank those families who supported our Jeans for Genes event. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our community in providing much needed support. We have received over £500 in total from the money donated through school and online donations. This week we have welcomed lots of visitors into school. They have been impressed with the children’s attitudes to learning, demonstrating our school motto “Only My Best is Good Enough!” We have seen great learning in all areas of school.
This week, we have also launched our morning and after school clubs within school. It is great to see how many children accessing this provision. Please can we remind families to use the hall doors to access PE and dance provision. This provision is only available for those booked on the sessions. Attendance is regularly reviewed and places offered to those on the waiting list for non-attendance.
We have been asked to remind parents that we are not able to use the Flowery Centre’s car park. Unfortunately, this area is very congested which prevents emergency access to both buildings. Please remember that school has a designated drop off area in a morning to help ease the problems with traffic. There are lots of friendly faces around to welcome your child and escort them to class but we do ask that cars are not left unattended.
We are currently reviewing the allergies we have in school, due to the severe allergies we have in school, nuts are not permitted on site. All children within KS1 are provided with fruit through the fruit in schools scheme, children in KS2 are able to bring fruit from home. Other snacks are not permitted. Children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day.
