Spring Term Week – 10.03.23
What a lovely week of celebration!
This week we have shared our learning in science and art as part of our celebration assemblies. All children have had the opportunity to share their learning through a video montage. Froggy was extremely impressed with the way the children communicated their learning. Many of the children were able to make links with their current learning. Well done to all!
This week our Y6 pupils have had an inspiring morning at the Bridgewater Hall. They had the opportunity to participate in an event with Halle thinking about issues facing planet Earth. Check out the photos on our Facebook page and Twitter account.
As you are aware school is closed next week for our Inset Day (Monday) and Industrial Action on (Wed and Thurs). As on previous days of industrial action, our pastoral team will be available to support, packed lunches will be available for children in receipt of benefit related FSM and a remote learning offer will be put in place. We recognize that some families may be unable to support our remote offer during this time so have tried to use resources that can be completed independently. I would like to thank you for your support during these challenging times and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Currently, there are no plans for further industrial action.
On Friday we will be having a day of kindness to coincide with red nose day, we will be encouraging children to think about how they can help others around the world. We are inviting children to come in their own clothes and donate to our Red Nose Appeal or bring in a chocolate donation for our upcoming Easter events. In addition, we will be holding a book and cake sale after school to raise money for Red Nose Day.
Finally, I would like to thank the Flowery Friends team who have organised the Mother’s Day craft activities. The children have really enjoyed the sessions and are looking forward to sharing their creations with the special people in their life.
