FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Week – 11.11.22
Many thanks for your support this week. I am incredibly proud of the way our team at Flowery have continued to work together to ensure that our children continue to get a great deal!
It’s been great to see children embracing their current humanities work, whilst our younger pupils have been sharing their own memory boxes, our older pupils have been learning important messages from the past. Our learning continues to be shared via our school website, Twitter and Facebook pages. the Facebook pages to enable you to share in your children’s successes.
Within our assemblies, we have focused on remembrance, the children have explored why it is important to remember the past and thought about what we can learn from history. As a culmination of this work, we will be represented at this year’s remembrance parade which takes place on Sunday. We are extremely proud of the way the children responded during our act of remembrance.
Please remember that we are now able to offer a free breakfast to any pupils who attend morning clubs. We are extremely grateful to Greggs who have sponsored this provision and the parents who have volunteered to support this club. Mr Wright is already planning our clubs for the spring term and is keen to extend our current offer. If anyone has any skills to share please speak to a member of our pastoral team.
Finally, as you may be aware the Hyde Christmas Lights Switch on takes place on Saturday 26th November. As part of these celebrations there will be a lantern parade from 4 15 – 5pm. If families would like to take part, the organisers are holding lantern making workshops held prior to the event. There is no need to book just turn up and take part!
