FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Summer Term - 15.7.22
Thank you for the generous donations we have received this week. Following our successful cake sale we raised £285 for the people of Bangladesh. This will make a huge difference to those affected by the flooding.
On behalf of the Flowery Friends team I would also like to thank you for your generous donations for our Summer Fayre. As you are aware all money received will continue to support our community events, such as the seaside trip, pantomine school discos and much more!
Summer Fayre
Our Summer fayre takes place this Sunday. We are extremely grateful to the Flowery Friends team who have organised this event, ensuring that there will be lots of fun activities for all! Many thanks to all those that have offered to help on the day – your support is greatly appreciated. Gates open at 11 am and close at 2pm. The fayre is free to attend although there will be lots of stalls and businesses present on the day. We look forward to seeing you there.
Community
We are always looking at ways to strengthen our community and would welcome any ideas you may have. It would be great to share families own cultures and traditions as part of this work. We will be holding our first coffee morning on Friday 22nd July 11am – 12pm to look at how we can further strengthen relationships within our community. Please feel free to attend or email admin@floweryfield.tameside.sch.uk if you would like to get involved.
Predicted Extreme Heat Weather Warnings
The Met Office has extended an amber extreme heat warning for Sunday 17 July, Monday 18 July and Tuesday 19 July, as temperatures will build this weekend and early next week for much of England and Wales. In accordance with government guidance, we would like all children to bring a water bottle to ensure they remain hydrated, and will limit vigorous physical activity. We would encourage all children to wear sun cream and bring a hat if possible. We are happy for families to adapt our school uniform to ensure your children can remain cool.
