Summer Term – Week 5 27.05.22
What a lovely end to the half term!
We have had a lovely week finding out more about our royal family. The children have explored a range of sources to find out more about the Queen and her royal duties. The children have enjoyed visiting the Queen, writing letters and postcards and even built their own castles! During our assemblies the children have learnt a special song for the Queen’s Jubilee and also learnt the National Anthem. Well done to you all!
We finished off the week with our street parties, check out our photos on the Facebook page. The children all helped to decorate school, making bunting and flags to help commemorate this special time. It was lovely to see our younger pupils joining in with our celebrations, waving their flags, whilst the older children sang our National Anthem. Our street parties were a huge success, the children all had lots of fun with heir friends.
This week we have also celebrated the success of our KS1 and KS2 cheerleaders, both teams managed to secure first place in their individual categories. We are extremely grateful to Miss Lawton for giving them this opportunity. Miss Lawton will be running some new classes in September. The children performed their routines as part of our Jubilee celebrations.
As we approach the final half term I would like to thank you for your support during my first year as Principal. I am excited that parents are once again invited into school. It was lovely to see so many nursery parents this morning joining us for a picnic in the park.
I have provided details of our summer events below.
Wishing all our families a relaxing and enjoyable half term.
Mrs Silk
