Dear All,

Following yesterday's announcement by the Education Secretary, school will reopen on Tuesday 5th January as planned. The infection rate in Tameside continues to increase with many cases identified as the new variant form. In light of this, I strongly urge all adults coming on to site to wear a face covering and to keep well away from the classroom doors at drop off and collection times. During last term, we opened even when I had 21 colleagues absent and self-isolating. If the situation deteriorates yet further, I may not be able to maintain full provision, so it is in everyone's interest to keep the staff and the wider community as safe as possible.
