Reflections on week 12

We have welcomed two class “bubbles” back this week and sadly, seen another leave for a period of self-isolation. Many more families are ready to engage in home learning should the need arise and I repeat my request that you contact school if you are struggling with any aspect of home learning.

Our preparations for Christmas are well underway and, early next week, you will be receiving a ‘calendar’ of activities for the final week. I will also be sending out slips so that you can order this year’s Christmas lunch, which will take place over four separate days for differing year groups.

Today’s non-uniform event in support of The Sandwich Angel’s Foodbank was a great success and again, the generosity of our community never ceases to amaze. (Yesterday evening, Channel 4 News reported the shocking fact that our country now has more foodbanks than MacDonald’s restaurants!)
