Mobile testing centres in Tameside

We are aware that the national portal is facing issues due to the current rise in demand for tests.  The local testing unit at Beeley Street this weekend should be listed from 6pm the evening before it is available but if you find it is not listed, please do keep trying as you must have a booked appointment.  The mobile testing unit will not accept drop ins and test people without having a pre-booked appointment.

We realise this is frustrating and so please only book a test if you have symptoms so we can ensure people who need a test can get one.  If you have any coronavirus symptoms you must isolate immediately for 10 days (don’t wait for a test or a test result before doing so).  If you are identified as a contact of a positive case you must isolate for the full 14 days but do not need to get tested unless you develop symptoms.

Please visit www.tameside.gov.uk/coronavirus/testing for more information on when you should and shouldn’t get tested

If you have symptoms of coronavirus – a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss of or a change in your normal sense of smell or taste - please stay at home for 10 days and only leave home to get tested.  It’s nothing to be nervous about and the friendly staff will help you through the process - it’s simple, safe, confidential and will protect everyone.  Please book a test at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119.
