FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
What a lovely end to the week!
We are extremely proud of all our children, their enthusiasm for learning and resilience within lessons is testimony to our amazing Flowery community. Unfortunately, as we approach the Christmas break we are seeing an increase in illness within school, we are extremely proud of the way the children and staff have worked together to minimise disruption to learning. We are looking forward to celebrating the children’s efforts over the coming weeks.
All year groups are now coming to an end of their history work, the teachers have made a compilation video which we intend to share with you following the Christmas break. These will also be shared as part of our celebration assemblies which take place after Christmas.
We have been delighted to show our prospective pupils around our school. Once again the children have demonstrated what makes Flowery special, with their excellent learning attitudes and quality work displayed around school. If you are aware of anyone who is looking for a school place for September, please ask them to call the office to arrange an appointment to visit.
We are extremely grateful for your generous donations for our toy and gift appeal, these will make a huge difference to families within our community. We will be accepting donations until the end of the week. Please see below.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing team of volunteers who continue to support activities both within school and the community. Our breakfast club are currently serving over 80 children, whilst our Flowery Friends team are busy preparing for afternoon tea, our amazing Christmas raffle and organising the personalised Christmas cards too! We couldn’t offer these activities without their phenomenal support.
As you are aware, we have lots of exciting events taking place in school over the next few weeks. Please check out the calendar and app for regular reminders.
Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend.

ANNOUNCEMENT - Supporting local people in need this Christmas
The Tameside Toy Appeal and local food banks appeal is running again this year as we head towards Christmas. Your support for local children, families and individuals who are suffering severe financial hardship is needed more than ever this year. There are collection points at every Tameside library and children’s centre. The toy appeal accepts new, unwrapped gifts for babies up to 18-year-olds. They are always particularly short of gifts for babies and teenagers – especially boys.
Items needed for foodbanks include tea, coffee, long life milk, long life fruit juice or cordial, tinned meat and fish, tinned potatoes and veg, instant mashed potato, biscuits, tinned fruit, tinned custard and rice pudding, Christmas food items, nappies and formula. We are currently collecting donations within school and have boxes by reception
The deadline for donations to the toy appeal is Friday 9 December, while the deadline for donations to foodbanks is Monday 12 December.
FLOWERY FIELD FARM - HELP NEEDED
We are aware that many families would like to support our farm. We have signed up to Easyfundraising, this is a great way to support school (whilst shopping online) and the best bit is it doesn't cost you a penny more.
