FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Spring Term Week 12 – 31.03.22
What a great week in school!
Firstly, I would like to thank you for all your generous donations to support our Easter events. Alongside our annual Easter Egg Bingo event that takes place on Wednesday, we will be having a special Easter Raffle. Tickets will be on sale on Monday and Tuesday only. These will be priced at 50p each.
This week all teachers have engaged in Pupil Progress Meetings. It is great to see the progress children have made in all areas of learning. The teachers have all reflected on the children’s next steps and looked at further support that can be put in place to ensure children build on this success. This information will be shared at parents’ evening and will help inform our before school provision after Easter. We are extremely grateful for your support with reading at home, this is clearly key to helping your children progress and develop good learning behaviours.
We continue to share our children’s successes outside of school. We are extremely proud of our children’s engagement with after school clubs and their participation in sporting tournaments at Hyde High School and Stockport County. This term the children have had the opportunity to learn new skills too, several of our chess players have been chosen to represent our school in the school chess competition, Well done to you all!
This weekend marks the start of Ramadan for our Muslim families. This is a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, charity, & community. We will be finding out more in our assemblies next week and will be thinking of you all, over the next 30 days. Ramadan Mubarak.
The highlight of our week has to be the visit from M and M productions. The children loved watching the performance of the Hobbit, especially the opportunities for singing and dancing! The children loved meeting the different characters, especially Bilbo who they helped complete his quest.
As we approach the Easter break, I would like to remind you that we close for Easter on Thursday 7th April and reopen on Monday 25th April. I have provided details of a few family activities below.

There is also lots on at the Museum of Science and Industry. Visitors can build their own fun in the brand-new Mega Makers indoor playground (daily at 11.30am to 1pm and 2.15pm to 3.40pm. Stack and connect large foam cubes, bricks, cogs, curves and cylinders to see what creations they can make. Kids can also settle down for story time (daily at 10.30am to 11am and 1.30pm to 2pm) with the Explainer team as they enter the world of Izzy Gizmo, a girl who loves to invent.
Finally, I would like to thank all those families who joined our nursery Easter Egg Hunt today, we are extremely grateful for your support and love having the opportunity to share our learning with you. Likewise, I would like to thank all the families that have engaged with the Froggy Family Challenge Activities, it’s been great sharing your creations in school.
