FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Week 6 – 15/10/21
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support in ensuring the safety of our community. We are extremely proud of the way the children have managed their emotions and embraced new ways of working.
In recognition of their resilience, we would like to invite them to an afternoon of classroom fun on Friday 22nd October. Children are free to come in their own clothes or fancy dress if they prefer. Refreshments will be provided by school.
Next week we will be embracing the arts, all children will be studying a famous artist and use their works as a stimulus for their own creations. We look forward to sharing their work with you virtually.
My Child at School (MCAS)
Many thanks to all those families that have signed up to the app. You are able to use this to check important messages, book a school dinner, check attendance and even book a place at one of our after school clubs. We are extremely grateful for your support during this transition period. If you still need support in accessing the app please speak to a member of the office team as we are hoping to use it to order school meals soon!
School Meals
As you are aware, we currently have a temporary menu in place due to current restrictions. From today, the children will be able to select their meals within the MCAS app. Our normal menu will resume after half term. If anyone had any questions about the school meals please contact the school office.
Parents’ Evening
This will take place on Tuesday 2nd November, and will be done over the telephone due to the current limit on visitors to school.
Appointments will be booked through MCAS – please keep an eye out for the message early next week once appointments can be booked.
COVID Update
As you are aware, the situation around COVID is continuously changing. We continue to work closely with Public Health to monitor the situation at Flowery Field, ensuring that we can maintain our core educational provision.
We have seen a spike in cases within our school community. Many of these cases are asymptomatic. Please ensure you follow the recommended advice with regards regular lateral flow testing, social distancing, wearing of masks and PCR testing. With your continued support, we should see a significant reduction in cases, enabling us to remove some of the more restrictive measures within school.
We will continue to update you via the school website, MCAS and the Facebook page.
Support
If you have any questions, please find a member of our pastoral team who are around before and after school.
