What an exciting first week back!

Thank you for your support in helping your children settle back into school.  Your support around the morning and afternoon routines has ensured we can enter and leave school safely.  Please remember that school has a designated drop off area in a morning to help ease the problems with traffic.  There are lots of friendly faces around to welcome your child and escort them to class.

Our assemblies this week have reinforced our expectations around school.  We have introduced new Froggy Stars, which focus on key learning behaviours we wish to promote at Flowery (STRIVE, TEAM, ASPIRATION, RESILIENCE).  We will continue to have celebration events each half term to share our learning and celebrate our successes.

We are extremely proud of how well your children have adjusted to our new ways of working, especially around lunchtimes.  It’s been great to see them tackling new challenges with determination and resilience.  Please continue to check out our Flowery Friends Facebook pages and our Twitter feed.

Our new build is nearly complete, we are currently awaiting an official handover date, which will enable us to recommence our morning and after school clubs.  We know that many of our families rely on this provision and thank you for the understanding you have shown.

In other news, Mr Fell has assisted us in ensuring all the animals have returned to school.  Many thanks to all our families who cared for our smaller animals over the school holidays.  Please feel free to pop over to our school farm, before or after school, and say hello to the animals.  Mrs Mercer and Ms Marsden are always on the lookout for budding volunteers.

If you have any questions, please find a member of our pastoral team who are around before and after school.

Upcoming Events:

Sunday 26th September (9-10am) – Flowery Friends Wet Welly Walk, for all children in EYFS and their families.

Tuesday 21st September – School Photograph Day.  Families with siblings below school age can come to school from 8am for photographs.  All other sibling photos will be taken within the school day.

Saturday 23rd October – Family trip to Blackpool.  We still have a few places remaining.  If you would like to join us please speak to a member of our pastoral team at the front of school.

Wishing you all a lovely and relaxing weekend,

Mrs Silk
