All children (except nursery classes) have a consent form for the annual flu vaccination programme run by the NHS. Please complete these and return them to your child's teacher by Friday at the latest. The vaccinations are scheduled for 7th October. The vaccination is in the form of a painless nasal spray that takes just a couple of seconds to administer.
The nasal spray flu vaccine will not only help protect your child against flu, the infection will also be less able to spread from them to their family, carers and the wider population.
Vaccinating children also protects others who are vulnerable to flu, such as babies, older people, pregnant women and people with serious long-term illnesses.
