Dear Parents / Carers,
It’s that time of the year again – time to celebrate the children’s love of reading!
Here at Flowery Field we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March 2023.
Every year on World Book Day, we are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our school community and we would like to continue to keep our celebrations as inclusive as possible.
With this in mind, this year we will be sharing our favourite books by dressing in pyjamas for a day of sharing stories. Reading together is a valuable, social experience which boosts creativity and imagination, improves well being and is a positive experience for everyone! Children may wish to bring their favourite bedtime book to share with a friend. Pyjamas, dressing gowns, snugglies and teddies are ALL welcome. Even slippers – but please remember to wear suitable shoes for outdoor play too!
We are very much looking forward to creating a nurturing space to share stories and celebrate World Book Day with our children, and would like to thank you in advance for your support.
