If your child was off sick when the vaccination team visited school, then there will be a catch-up session on Wednesday 9th November 2022.

We have been asked to remind parents that as part of the Governments school flu vaccination programme across Greater Manchester. IntraHealth are commissioned to deliver the flu vaccinations between October and February, this means that GPs are not licensed to administer flu vaccinations to any healthy school children and will refer the parent back to school so their child can receive their flu vaccine. We have been made aware of GP practices across Tameside receiving calls from parents, requesting an appointment for their child to be vaccinated who have missed it at school. GPs will not vaccinate school children unless they are vulnerable, as they are not licenced to do this under NHS contracting.
