Governors

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the Chair of Governors of Flowery Field Primary School may I welcome you to the Governor’s section of the Flowery Field Primary website and to a brief introduction to the role that the Governors have in school.
Every school has a Governing Body which plays a key role in helping to oversee the strategic direction of the school and works in partnership with the Academy Trustees, Headteacher, Senior Management Team, staff, parents the children themselves and governors are expected to act as a “critical friend” to the school.

What it’s like to be a school Governor
The role of School Governor is varied and interesting, sometimes involving great challenges and debate.  It is also very rewarding and people generally increase their knowledge and skills by becoming involved.
