Over the last few weeks, we have shared our learning from the spring term.  The children have loved exploring where they live and comparing this to the wider world.  Check out the links to our shared learning below:

Our new learning makes the most of our environment, with many year groups focusing on living things.  Over the last few days, it’s been great to see the children making the most of the beautiful weather, exploring our new areas Mr G and his team have created.  If anyone has any old garden tools that can complement our resources it would be much appreciated, Over the next few weeks, the children will be exploring a range of plants and animals, carrying out experiments and observing changes over time.

As part of our summer learning, we are also focusing on what makes us healthy, we will be exploring things we can do to help us look after our mind and bodies.  As part of this work we would like to remind all children to bring a water bottle to school and ensure their packed lunch provides a balanced meal.  There are lots of fun activities that families can do to reinforce these messages.  Check out https://www.foodafactoflife.org.uk/ which offers lots of activities for children of all ages.

Finally, we are excited to announce that our offer letters have now been sent out for our nursery and reception classes.  We are looking forward to meeting all our new children and their families during our open afternoon. This will take place on Monday 1st July and will give children the opportunity to meet their teacher, take part in some activities and explore the school grounds. If you have any questions ahead of your visit please contact the office to arrange to speak with our Assistant Head, Mrs Pearson.  Following the half term break, there will be a chance for children across school to meet their new teachers and explore their new classrooms prior to September.

Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable bank holiday weekend

Mrs Silk
